Loan services

What we can help you with

Different situations come with different lender rules. Here's what each one involves and what we'd need from you.

First home buyers

Buying your first home

Who this is for

You're buying your first home, maybe with a partner, maybe with family help. You've used a few online calculators and you're more confused than when you started.

What we do

We work out what you can realistically borrow, check which government schemes you qualify for, compare lenders on our panel, arrange pre-approval, and manage the application through to settlement.

What you'll need

  • Photo ID
  • Last two payslips, or tax returns if self-employed
  • Bank statements showing your savings
  • Details of any debts: cards, car loans, HECS/HELP, Buy Now Pay Later
  • A rough idea of the price range and area

Refinance and debt consolidation

Refinancing

Who this is for

You already have a home loan. Your fixed rate is ending, your repayments have crept up, or you're carrying other debts you'd like to bring together.

What we do

We review your current loan against what lenders on our panel offer, include the costs of switching, and tell you plainly whether a change is worth it. If consolidation makes sense, we explain the trade-offs, including paying off short-term debt over a longer term.

What you'll need

  • Recent home loan statement
  • Payslips or tax returns
  • Statements for any debts you'd like to consolidate
  • A recent estimate of your property's value, if you have one

Construction loans

Building

Who this is for

You have a land contract, a builder's tender, or a knock-down rebuild in mind, and you've found out that construction finance works nothing like a normal home loan.

What we do

We structure the loan around your build: the land purchase, the progress payments to your builder, and the switch to a standard loan at completion. Amit spent nine years in construction-industry accounting, so the builder's side of the paperwork is familiar ground.

What you'll need

  • Everything from the first home buyer list
  • Land contract, or proof of land ownership
  • Signed fixed-price building contract
  • Council-approved plans and specifications
  • Builder's insurance details

Investing

Who this is for

You own a home and you're considering an investment property, or adding to one you already have.

What we do

We look at how much you can borrow, how to use equity in your existing property, and loan structures that suit an investment. We work alongside your accountant on the tax side — we don't give tax advice.

What you'll need

  • Current home loan statements
  • Payslips or tax returns
  • Rental income statements for any existing investments
  • Details of the property you're considering, if you have one
